In winning the New York City Regional, Waialua High teamed with two other high schools teams: one from the Bronx, NY, and the other from Massapequa, NY. In addition to winning the New York City Regional, Waialua's team received the Industrial Safety Award (sponsored by Underwriters Lab) and the highest honor of the competition, the Regionals Chairman's Award. |
